Adventure center offers two toddler programs: a young toddler program, and an older toddler program. Both programs are listed below. The younger toddler program is listed first.

Young Toddler Program

Much time is spent in toddler groups helping children learn social and self-help skills. Children at this age need patience and guidance in learning how to get along with each other. They have limited language skills and little experience in resolving conflicts with each other.

Older Toddler Program

Much time is spent in toddler groups helping children to learn social and self-help skills. Children at this age need patience and guidance in learning how to get along with each other. The staff in our toddler programs teach by example, suggest alternative ways of handling conflict, and help give the children the words they need to express themselves and communicate with each other.

Older toddlers are assisted in toilet training when they begin to show an interest. A relaxed approach is used, along with positive reinforcement. Children are never scolded or shamed during this process (or ever), as those techniques are not acceptable in our program.
